This drop was just in time not only for Black History Month but it also coincides with another great moment in US History which saw America recognize Dr. Maya Angelou by putting her image on the US quarter. 

The design inspiration came from the late great Maya Angelou who wrote the immortal "I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings" poem which was published in 1983. This was my way of paying homage to her beauty, her genius, and her greatness. The tree branches and bird cage are in a maroon color which lays beautifully over the Heather Dust colored Crewneck.
